Honey Remedies for Cough

Honey Cough Syrup Recipe

When I was a child, my mother gave me whiskey mixed with honey as a natural cough remedy. She always favored this mixture over commercial drug store bottles. Because it was a remedy we could trust, we knew it was natural and it always worked well for our family, it became the default cough remedy that I use for my family as well.

Here are a few variations of tried and true honey cough syrup recipes (with and without whiskey) that have been traditional in many families who prefer to treat common ailments with natural methods.
